French Glacier resorts opening for Summer skiing

Glacier ski resorts of Val d'Isere, Tignes and Les Deux Alpes will begin to open for Summer skiing this weekend (11th June).

The Grande Motte glacier in Tignes offers skiing between 3,000 and 3,456 metres and lifts will be open from 07.15 am and 1 pm daily from the 18th June until the 4th September. There are 12 lifts and around 20 km's of runs available.

In Les Deux Alpes lifts open on the 18th June until the 28th August offering a good variety of skiing for beginners to experts. There is a snowpark with half-pipes and jumps.

Val Senales, Italy - includes a cross country trail on the glacier.
Saas Fee, Switzerland - re-opens on the 9th July until 27th August - 20 km's of runs and a Summer terrain park.
Timberline, USA - open from 1st June with skiing up to 8,500 ft.
Whistler, Canada - glacier opens between 18th June to the 24th July.
