Traditionally styled and furnished, it is warm and inviting, and ideally placed for skiing families, with easy slope access The spacious lounge/bar area, with its big picture windows, comfy sofas and the handy reception desk and bar, forms the focal point of the Mariandre.
Downstairs, the dining-room is in two parts, and is furnished in simple French bistro-style. A touch on the snug side if everyone arrives at once for breakfast, it is amply sized for adult dinners, and has a convivial atmosphere.
The bedrooms and family suites provide a choice of accommodation styles for different family sizes, and all have the benefit of private en suite facilities, and many a balcony too.
The Nursery and separate sleep-room are off the main lounge, whilst the spacious and attractive Snow Club room, where our Cocoa Club is also held, is conveniently situated in an internally connected chalet-annexe.

Fine Wine and our Culinary Fine Dining Experience
For six days of the week our Chalet Hotel catering staff prepare all your meals for you as described below. On their day off, breakfast will still be served to you as normal without however the hot option, and that evening you and your family have the chance to eat out in one of the local cafés or restaurants. The majority of our guests feel that children under 13 years can inhibit the dinner-party atmosphere at evening meals, especially if they are over-tired, so our younger guests are served high tea at about 5.30pm. We do not then allow anyone under 13 at the adult evening meals in our Chalet Hotels.
Breakfast
A good breakfast is essential on a ski holiday, so we provide a choice of cereals or porridge, fruit juices, plentiful tea and coffee, local bread (and croissants or ‘pains au chocolat’ in France), cold meats, cheeses and preserves, and boiled eggs. This is normally presented buffet-style for you to help yourself. Additionally we offer a daily hot dish, such as scrambled eggs with mushrooms or home-made pancakes.
Afternoon Tea
The traditional ‘welcome home’ after a day on the slopes will be laid out for you by your chalet host, ready for your return. A good cup of tea or coffee is the perfect accompaniment to a delicious slice of freshly home-baked cake.
Children’s High Tea
Served at around 5.30pm and supervised by our staff, high tea provides children under 13 with a healthy menu, but tailored more towards children’s tastes than our main adult dinner. Puréed food is available for infants on request. Parents are asked to accompany children under 36 months, whilst children 3-12 years will be supervised by chalet staff. Children under 13 are not allowed to join the adult-only dinner.
Culinary Choice Dinner
Our ‘Culinary Choice’ adult dinners comprise five courses, with a choice of menu for your enjoyment. Adults will be asked to choose their evening meals at breakfast for that evening from a choice of varied dishes selected for each course, accompanied of course by our complimentary wines.

Our Wine Selection
We are very proud of our wine selection which combines crisp and fruity whites with medium to full bodied reds, for a variety of palates. We select our wines in conjunction with our good friends Nicolas and Véronique Perret the third generation in the Perret family’s fine wine business based in the Savoie. Nicolas is a Master of Wine, having trained at the prestigious Burgundy Wine University in Beaune. Each season in October, Nicolas and Véronique bring over a new selection for us to sample (someone has to do it!) and together we choose our four wines for the coming season, based on our menus and their pure enjoyment factor. Wine is an incredibly subjective and emotive subject, however the feedback we have received from our guests over recent seasons endorses our aims of providing wines to enhance your meal and to suit most tastes. We hope you will enjoy them as much as we do!

CHILD CARE
Five mornings a week, children in Esprit Sprite classes and Spritelet Snow Clubbers are collected from the Chalet Hotel meeting point by our staff (and/or the ski school instructors) and taken by bus to the appropriate slopes for their lessons or to our Snow Club for morning fun.
At the end of the morning lesson or Snow Club, children joining Supervised Lunch, afternoon Snow Club or with afternoon Sprite or Spritelet sessions will be collected and returned to the Mariandre for lunch. The Snow Club is based in the Mariandre, with outings for their specific snow fun activities. All children in afternoon Sprites or Spritelets will be taken to and collected from their session by our staff and will join the Snow Club children for the remainder of the afternoon and high tea.
We ask that Nursery children are delivered to the Nursery by their parents. Nursery lunches are held in the Mariandre. Nursery children must be collected by their parents at 5pm and accompanied at high tea, whilst all other children will be supervised by our staff through high tea until 6pm.
Mini Cocoa Club will run in the Nursery 6 nights a week from 7.30-9.30pm for children aged 3-5 years. Parents are asked to deliver and collect their children. Cocoa Club runs in the Snow Club room from 7.30pm until 10pm on six nights a week, and is available to all children aged 6-12 years.
Parents are asked to deliver and collect their children. Parents can put their children to bed and enjoy a further hour of relaxation, making the most of our free Baby-Listening/ Child- Patrol Service, which runs till 11pm.
