Superb 4 star hotel in a central location in Val D'Isere The Auberge, is a comfortable hotel with a good restaurant right in the centre of Val d'Isere. A member of the Relais de France, it has been awarded 3* status.
Very well suited to the independent traveller, the hotel has a genuinely friendly appeal and the staff offer a warm welcome.
The hotel is located in the very heart of the ski resort, next to all the shops and amenities and the picturesque old village and is 150m from the Bellevarde and Olympique ski-lifts.
The 28 rooms are comfortable and spacious and most have a balcony with a view on the village or the mountain. Many of the rooms and bathrooms have been recently renovated.
Although the hotel's main areas are simply furnished and a little limited, the bar downstairs is small and cosy and is definitely the place to relax after a hard day! To help you do so you will be greeted there with complimentary "apres ski tea" comprising fresh, homebaked cakes or biscuits and a cup of tea or coffee. The bar is also open to the public but there is a seperate entrance for non-residents.
On the ground level residents and passers-by can enjoy a hearty meal in the restaurant, a half-board option is available with the rooms. The food is French traditional with quality regional Savoy specialities, with a good level of service.
