Superbly situated at the Rond Point des Pistes, set against a backdrop of a pine forest and hugging the slopes The hotel's style could be best described as 'refined simplicity', without fore-going attention to detail its owners prefer relaxed friendliness to excessive luxury. And with a wooden-styled interior, modern furnishings, fine French cuisine, superb south and west facing bedrooms, and a generous lounge and bar by the open fire, Le Yeti is truly a tempting proposition. The sun-facing restaurant terrace is also open at lunchtimes and is highly recommended.
The rooms themselves are well-furnished and extremely well finished. Junior suites are larger than standard rooms and there are several options for groups or families, including pairs of rooms in their own hallways. In a similar vein the hotel offers what might be called 'apartment suites', of which there are four, comprising two rooms and a lounge with an open fire. The bedrooms in these suites are slightly smaller than normal, however the price is the same per person than for a double room, with the potential for your own living area - which is great for families.
Whilst the hotel is well-sized, with 32 rooms, it still retains a familial charm. The owners invite you downstairs for apres-ski and being a mountain-guide Mr Saint Guilhem often skis with his guests.
There are of course relaxation facilities, not least the lounge which is like a large living room rather than a hotel reception area, a sauna, and an outdoor pool for the summer. Practical touches have also been taken care of - for example the individual boot warmers in each of the ski lockers.
The hotel welcomes families with children and when the conference room is not being used as such it doubles as a games room.
